Mesh Mashup

For this project, I was tasked to mash two or more models from the website Thingiverse in order to create an entirely new remixed model in Tinkercad. I have meshed together ten remixed models that will be showcased here:

The first is a remix between an arcade machine and some mechanical robot legs. I wanted to combine both old technology with new in order to create an entirely new feeling to this creation.

Banana Pear is one of my more comedic models. I thought that combining two pieces that aren't typically mixed together would create an interesting result.

This was one of my more random ideas. I wanted to choose some of the leftover pieces I had from previous models to see what I could create. Combining the cup, the apples and the bear head resulted in quite the interesting composition.

This idea became a little more abstract, as I wanted it to feel as if the crystals were bursting out of the body of the teddy bear. It gives off a bit of a creepy atmosphere with the roundness of the body juxtaposed with the sharp edges of the crystal.

I discovered the fork model and the first idea that came to mind was to combine it with an actual hand. I always connect the prongs of a fork to the similarities to the human hand, so this felt like a fitting combination.

Another use of the hand model, but this time with an old-fashioned arcade controller. I like the idea of the joysticks being replaced with hands, as hands are usually the ones controlling it. I don't know how exactly I would feel if the controller was holding my hand back.

I saw this mushroom model and I immediately wanted to find something round to make up the spots on the top, so the first thing that came to mind were some soccer balls. While the two models aren't the most related to one another, I still think it brings forth an interesting visual.

The Octopus Ocarina is a remix that definitely gives off a very eery feeling when I look at it. The idea of long tentacles squirming in the holes of the instrument makes me feel tense just thinking about it. However, the visual is quite intruiging in my opinion.

The mix between a single tentacle and a fire hydrant was an idea that caught my eye very quickly. I always associate tentacles with the deep ocean, so to have one hide inside a fire hydrant is quite unexpected. I think that combined, these two models create an interesting result.

This utencil castle is the combination of the classic fork, knife and spoon with a medieval-style castle. When I think of cutlery I sometimes connect it to royalty, so combining the two ideas made that connection even stronger.
